If you’re a hijabi or if you just love scarves, chances are you’ve heard of Pearl Daisy!
Pearl Daisy is an online store run by Amenakin, a Youtuber and blogger. She began making videos on hijab tutorials when she first started out but now her vidoes span all sorts of topics that relate to Muslim women.
If you follow me on Instagram, you might already know about my love for these scarves! I’ve been buying scarves from her store for a few years, and my absolute favourite line are the smooth sheen drape scarves from Pearl Daisy.
My shopping of scarves from Pearl Daisy is often limited by the shipping costs; the scarves are often reasonably priced, but shipping costs from the UK to North America do add up.
But a few months ago, Pearl Daisy offered an amazing deal: free shipping worldwide! And so I splurged and bought 3 of my new favourite line of scarves from Pearl Daisy: the smooth sheen drape scarves.
When hunting for a new simple black scarf (a hijabi essential!), I settled on the smooth sheen drape scarf (not pictured) and was very impressed by the quality. And so when it came time to the free shipping promotion, I scrambled to buy more from the line since I loved the first one so much!
The three colours that I choose were: the electric blue, silver spun, and coral. I’d been dying to get my hands on an electric blue scarf, and so when I saw this shade, I fell in love. The coral one was an impulse selection, and I had been needing a silver scarf badly.
The smooth sheen drape scarves come in a multitude of colours, are 180 cm by 70 com (71 inches by 28 inches approximately) and cost 6.50 GBP or $10.99 USD. All of them are made from viscose and have a slight sheen to them.
What I love about these scarves is the fabric. The slight sheen gives the scarves a bit of a dressed up look but it doesn’t come off as shiny. The viscose fabric has a lovely fall, and I love how easily the scarves drape and stay all day. The colours are vibrant and really pop against patterned tops and dresses.
The scarves are wide enough to provide ample coverage but not so big that they drown you. They aren’t slippery and stay when you pin them down.
My only complaint with them is that they require ironing after each use; with the drapes that come with the viscose fabric, these scarves are easily wrinkled and so it can sometimes be annoying to have to iron them before each use.
But it’s a small price to pay for such an amazing scarf at a good price!
So if you’re looking for solid colours in basic scarves, I highly recommend checking out the smooth sheen drape scarves from Pearl Daisy. Hope you found this useful.
Keep smiling, beautiful girls!
