None of us are perfect. We all make errors and we all sin. Sometimes we can even be consumed in a sea of guilt, thinking that there is no point in repenting since we think God will never forgive us. But what we underestimate is the depth of His mercy, the extent to Allah’s forgiveness.
One of Allah’s blessed names is Ar-Rahman, the Merciful. He asks us to call Him by that name. So how we can ignore this characteristic when it is embedded in His name? How can we pretend that we are below Allah’s forgiveness and his mercy?
None of us are out of the reach of God’s mercy, none of us are beyond His forgiveness.
So if you have sinned or erred, repent. Ask Allah for his forgiveness and ask Him to guide you and show you the right way. If you repent with honesty and clear intentions, He will forgive you. Because Allah does not tire of forgiving us. He asks us to call upon Him and speak to Him.
Ask for Allah’s forgiveness for the big sins and the little sins. Because in the end, none of us are perfect.
